Open in App
Solution

Define monomial and give required example:

  1. A polynomial is an expression that consists of variables, constants and exponents, that are combined using the mathematical operations.
  2. Consequently, a monomial is defined as a polynomial having a single non zero term.
  3. For a monomial to have degree 100 the term must contain a variable with an exponent 100.

For example;

  1. 8x100
  1. 7y100
  2. 11z100

Hence, 8x100, 7y100 and 11z100 are examples of monomials of degree 100.
