  • The changes which are permanent are known as irreversible changes.
  • Examples of irreversible changes are the burning of fuels and rusting of Iron.

Example of change that occurs on mixing two substances, but can be reversed:

  • The formation of salt solution is an example of reversible change.
  • Salt can be separated by heating.
