• A flower that contains only one of reproductive part either stamens or carpel is called unisexual, incomplete (imperfect) flower. Example: Papaya.

• A unisexual flower which contains only the stamens is called the male or staminate flower. The flower that contains only the carpels is called female or pistillate flower.
