Solution
A homogeneous mixture of two or more substances is called a solution.
It is also called a true solution.
The two main components of the solution are solute and solvent.
Solute: The component usually presents in lesser of the solution that is dissolved in the solvent is called the solute. It can be a gas, liquid, solid.
Solvent: The component usually present in the larger quantity of the solution that dissolves the other component in it is called the solvent, it can be a gas, liquid.
An example of a gaseous solution is a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen gases in the air and solid solution alloys.
