Homogeneous mixture: A mixture that has a uniform composition and properties throughout its mass is known as a homogeneous mixture. Example: alloys, salt solution, etc.

Example of a gas in a liquid solution is soda water.

  • In soda water, Carbon dioxide (CO2) gas is dissolved in Water (H2O)
  • In this solution, carbon dioxide gas act as a solute (the substance present in a smaller quantity in a solution) and water acts as a solvent (the substance present in a larger quantity in a solution).
