Give one example when displacement is zero while the distance is not-zero ?

Displacement can be zero whereas distance cannot.

Example :

  1. When a ball is thrown vertically upwards from A on the ground, after some time it comes back to the same point A.
  2. When a body is made to move one rotation in a circular path its displacement is zero.
