  1. They are nucleated cells that lack hemoglobin and are also called leucocytes.
  2. There are two types of WBCs namely; granulocytes, and agranulocytes.

The function of WBC:

  1. White blood cells protect the body from invading pathogens and remove dead cells from the body.
  2. It plays a very vital role in the immune system of our body.
