Renal arteries

  1. These are large blood vessels that carry oxygen-rich blood from heart to kidney.
  2. It originates from the dorsal aorta and enters in the kidney at hilum.
  3. Inside the kidney, renal artery branches off into a number of capillaries and arterioles.
  4. The capillaries coil and form a knot like structure known as glomerulus.
