2. It receives food from oesophagus and partially digests the food before transferring it to the small intestine.
3. The gastric glands present in the inner wall of stomach secrete gastric juice.
4. Gastric juice contains hydrochloric acid and two digestive enzymes namely pepsin and renin.
5. The food becomes a thick and pulp-like paste in stomach and this partially digested food in stomach is called chyme.
