  • A molecule that is made from atoms of the same kind of homo atomic molecule.

Example: Oxygen molecule (O2) is consist of 2 Oxygenatoms.

  • A molecule that is made from atoms of a different kind is called a hetero atomic molecule.

Example: Water molecule(H2O) is consist of 2 Hydrogenatom and 1 Oxygenatom.

Thus, molecules having two atoms of the same kind are called homo atomic molecules.
