Give reason: A liverwort plant is unable to complete its life cycle in a dry environment.

Liverworts are bryophytes , they live in damp areas on land . Since they are non vascular plants , they need water for their survival . The reasons are as follows :
  • They are habitant of marshy lands .
  • They require water for sexual reproduction as antherozoids ( sperms ) of bryophytes swim in water to fuse with egg .
