  • When Ammonium nitrate NH4NO3decomposes, it produces two products.
  • These products are Nitrous oxide and water vapor.
  • However, Ammonium nitrate is explosive in nature.
  • Due to these reasons, Ammonium nitrate is not favored for ammonia production.
