Therefore, it can be said that modernisation of postal services has improved their efficiency.

2. Good infrastructure is a pre-requisite for the development of any country. Earlier, the infrastructure sector in India was limited to public participation. However, in order to increase the competitiveness and efficiency of this sector, the government opened it to private participation. This is expected to stimulate the development process of infrastructure, which would facilitate economic growth.
