1. The surgical method of prevention of conception is called Sterilization.
2. There are of two types. In males, it is called Vasectomy (cutting and sealing of Vas deferens) and in females, it is called Tubectomy (Cutting and sealing of Fallopian tube).

The couples don’t give priority to this method as:

1. It is irreversible and permanent.
2. Needs surgery due to which risk of infection arises.
3. Misconceptions related to sexual behavior.
