The continent of Europe looks like a peninsula. A peninsula is a landmass that is surrounded by water from three sides. Europe is surrounded by the Arctic ocean in the North, Atlantic ocean in the west and Southern ocean in the south. Apart from this The continent of Europe consists of many penisulas like the Ilberian peninsula which is located on the south west corner of Europe. Then there is the Italian peninsula that extends from Southern Alps to Mediterranean sea. There are also the Scandinavian peninsula and Balkan peninsula in Europe. As it consists of many peninsulas, Europe is known as peninsula of peninsulas.
