Give reason why LPG is a better domestic fuel than wood.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a better fuel than wood because of the following reasons:
• LPG has a higher calorific value than that of wood. Therefore, LPG gives out more heat energy on burning than that of burning an equal mass of wood. (1 mark)
• LPG on burning does not leave any residue while wood on burning leaves ash as a residue. (1 mark)
• LPG burns without producing any smoke, whereas burning of wood produces a lot of smoke, causing air pollution. (1 mark)
