Solution

(a) An atom has an equal number of positive and negative charged particles, so it is neutral. Hence, an atom does not have any net charge.

(b) Copper is a good conductor of electricity and copper rod has a huge number of electrons so removing or adding some electrons does not affect it. Therefore, the charge cannot be developed on a copper rod.

(c) An iron chain hangs down from the body of a petrol tanker to pass the unwanted charge in the ground which is developed by the friction. It is used to avoid fire in the tanker.
