Solution

Reactivity of Aluminum:-

  1. Aluminum is a highly reactive metal, although it is corrosion-resistant.
  2. Aluminum reacts with oxygen in the air to form a thin film of aluminum oxide.
  3. The oxides of aluminum is extremely stable and prevent further aluminum-oxygen reactions and thus preserve the metal from getting more corroded.
  4. It is also Lightweight and a good heat conductor, so it is used to make cooking utensils.

Therefore, due to the formation of aluminum oxide (Al2O3), it is used to make cooking utensils.
