(a) The gravitational forces exerted by the moon and sun on the earth and also the rotation of earth is responsible for the tides. Due to the gravitational attraction the water rises above the sea level and tide is formed. [1 Mark]

(b) A concert hall is made curved because in such structure, the clear sound reaches to each and every audience because of better reflection of sound in every corner of the hall. [1 Mark]
