Give reasons.
(a) Water sources are formed under the surface of the earth.
(b) Ground water levels are falling.
(c) If we dig near river banks we find water level quickly.
(d) Wet clothes become dry after some time.
(e) Water is found in the solid form in the polar regions.
(a) Water sources are formed under the surface of the Earth due to the seepage of flowing water, rivulets, streams, rivers and rain into the ground.
(b) Ground water levels are falling due to the growth of population and industries, which utilizes water continuously.
(c) The level of the ground water near river banks is quite high. Therefore, water is found quickly if we dig near river banks.
(d) Wet clothes become dry after sometime because of the evaporation of water from clothes by the heat of the Sun.
(e) Water is found in solid form in polar regions due to the extremely low temperature in these regions.
