Solution

Aluminium:

  • Aluminium is a chemical element with the atomic number 13 and the symbol Al.
  • It is a non-toxic element, and can be cast, machined, and shaped easily.
  • It is the second most malleable and sixth most ductile metal, and it can be formed into very thin foils that are ideal for food packing.
  • Because Aluminium is one of the least reactive metals, it does not react with food and has no effect on flavour.
  • Also Aluminium is a good conductor of heat and electricity, this is another reason that food remains warm for a longer time in Aluminium sheets or foils.

As a result, Aluminium foil is used to wrap food.
