  1. The electricity produced by the flowing water is known as hydroelectric power.
  2. The water in a dam is allowed to fall on the turbine.
  3. As a result of this, turbines rotate whose axle is connected to the armature of the generator.
  4. The flowing water provides kinetic energy to the turbines which produce electrical energy.
