• For example, hypersecretion of sexcorticoids or overgrowth of adrenal cortex in mature women causes adrenal virilism.
• Adrenal virilism is a syndrome in which the excessive production of adrenal androgens causes virilization in females.
• That is, development or male characteristics like growth of facial hair.
