  • They are combined chemically.
  • For example, a mixture of sand and sugar, and both the constituents retain their properties.

Mixture doesn't involve any chemical change:

  • The ingredients of any mixture preserve their particle characteristics.
  • This is due to the fact that the development of a mixture does not need any chemical reactions.
  • There is no establishment of bonds between constituents.
  • The same can be said for a water-oil mixture. In which, both constituents retain their properties.
