Give reasons for the following : Lunar eclipse is a more frequent phonomenon than solar eclipse

Earth is a fairly big body and its shadow can completely cover the whole moon Moon has to pass through a very large shadow of the earth hence lunar eclipse is fairly a common phenomenon Solar eclipse is not so
common because many a times the shadow of the moon does not reach the earth
