Give reasons for the following statement:

Flowers that produce nectar are pollinated by bees.

Pollination by insects:

  1. The flowers that are pollinated by insects have a bright color, sweet odor and produce nectar.
  2. Bees are attracted by the nectar produced by such flowers as it needs the nectar to produce honey.
  3. As the bees enter the flower to collect the nectar, the pollen grains stick to its body and get transferred to the stigma as the bee approaches another flower.
  4. Therefore, bees pollinate the plants producing nectar as it needs the nectar for producing honey.
