Question

Give reasons for the following statement.
Water droplets appear on the outer surface of a glass full of cold water.

Open in App
Solution

  1. Water vapour in the air comes in contact with the wall of glass, then it appears as small water droplets.
  2. As the temperature of the surface of the glass is low, the water vapour which comes in contact with the glass loses its heat and gets converted into water droplets.
Hence, water droplets appear on the outer surface of a glass full of cold water.
