Give reasons for the following.
Stationary coil and stationary magnet can not produce induced electric current.

In order to induce emf and current in the coil, the magnetic flux linked with the coil must change. If both the coil and the magnet are stationary, then there is no change in the magnetic flux and hence no current is induced in the coil.
