Gold and Silver often occur in native states.

  • Native metals are found in nature in their pure metallic state.
  • Both the metals are less reactive in nature and that is why they resist the chemical reaction to occur.
  • They do not undergo oxidation or reduction reactions.
  • These are not attacked by air, water, and Carbon dioxide, and hence no reaction can be obtained.
  • Gold and Silver chemically be represented by the symbol(Au)and(Ag) respectively.

Hence, we concluded that Gold and Silver are found in their native state and are less reactive than other metals.
