Give reasons of the failure of revolt 1857

1. The date was appointed for the revolt. But it broke out before the appointed date.
2. There was no unity amongst the rebels. every kingdom was fighting to settle their personal scores with British.
3. The revolt did not spread it was limited to Northern states.
4. The rebels could not match the disciplined army amd sophisticated arms of the British.
5. The leadership was neither strong nor gave direction to the rebels
