(a) Stagnant water is ground for breeding of mosquitoes, which in turn, causes the spread of many diseases. Puddles of waste water block the sewage and gutters, which makes the surroundings unclean and unhygienic. Therefore, waste water should not be allowed to stagnate in puddles.
(b) Waste water from the factory contains various harmful chemicals which on entering human body can cause severe diseases. Therefore, drinking water should not be allowed to mix with waste water from the factories.
