Question

Give reasons why oviparous animals lay more eggs.

Open in App
Solution

In oviparous animals, the eggs are laid outside the female body.
As the eggs are present in the outer environment, they are more prone to the predators. The chances of their survival are very less.
Hence oviparous animals lay more eggs to overcome the loss.
