Dear student, both Copper and aluminium wires are generally used for electricity transmission as they have low resistivity. So, it decreases the resistance and hence increases the amount of current in the circuit. Therefore, they are good conductors of electricity. But Copper is more popular than aluminum wire. The Copper has a higher conductivity and is able to better withstand load surges than aluminum. Also, it doesn't loosen at its connection sites, and it offers more stability than aluminum.
