Solution

We know that light gets scattered by atmosphere particles. And amount of scattering is inversely proportional to wavelength of light.
Since The sun is far from the Earth during the rising time and all other wavelength light having comparatively low wavelength gets scattered only red having the longest wavelength is less scattered and is able to reach our eyes and therefore the sun appears reddish to us.
