Chemical change: It is permanent change in which an entirely new substance is formed with different properties .It is a permanent and irreversible change in which the original substance loses its own composition and properties.

Fermentation is a change that takes place mostly in drinks ,fruits and vegetables . The process of fermentation changes the substances of the matter. As a result , its form ,taste,smell, and composition of matter are changed. Thus , fermentation is a chemical change.
