Solution
Throat infections can lead to ear infections:
The ear has 3 parts: the outer ear, the middle ear, and the internal ear.
The middle ear is attached to the pinnacle of the back of the throat through the Eustachian tube that is covered with mucous, similar to the interior of the nostril and throat.
The Eustachian tube consists of the tiny bones via which sound travels to the ear.
The anterior wall of the Middle ear contains an opening that leads directly to a Eustachian tube.
So, this tube connects the middle ear to the throat.
Hence, the passage for infection is common.
So, if an infection occurs in the throat, it can lead to the ear through the eustachian tube.
