Solution
Jellyfish is a marine animal possessing thousands of tentacles armed with stinging cells that are used to defend the prey.
They also show the presence of specialized cells called cnidocytes that have tiny envenomed harpoons that penetrate into the flesh of any organism that comes in contact with the Jellyfish and the venom is then released from the body of the Jellyfish for defence purpose.
When a part of the human body comes in contact with a jellyfish, there is a sense of pain and irritation caused by the venom that is released by jellyfish meant for its own protection from other aquatic animals.
It is because of the venom that the body feels irritated after the contact.
