Some examples of green algae are Chlamydomonos, Pediastrum, Ulothrix, Codium, Chara, etc.

Chlamydomonas:

It is a green algae genus with over 150 species, all of which are unicellular flagellates that can be found in stagnant water, damp soil, freshwater, seas, and even snow as "snow algae."

Pediastrum:

  1. It is a green algae genus belonging to the Hydrodictyaceae family.
  2. It is nonmotile photoautotrophic green algae that live in freshwater.

Ulothrix:

  1. It belongs to the Ulotrichaceae family.
  2. It is a genus of non-branching filamentous green algae found in both fresh and saline water.
