Give some examples of induced magnetism.

  1. Induced magnetism is a temporary magnetism acquired by a magnetic material when it is placed near a magnet.
  2. When an un-magnetized bar of a magnetic material is placed near a magnet, the bar turns into a magnet.
  3. It acquires the property of attracting iron fillings when brought near its ends.
  4. The bar tends to lose its magnetism when the magnet is removed.

Some examples of induced magnetism:

  1. When a non-magnetic iron is placed near a magnet it gets magnetised.
  2. When some iron fillings are brought near the iron, iron filings get attracted to the iron piece
