Question

Give specific reasons:
When an object falls freely to the ground, its acceleration is uniform.

Solution

When an objects falls freely its acceleration is constant because in a free fall the acceleration does not depends on the mass of body . The uniform acceleration is produced due to gravitational force between earth and object as long as air resistance can be ignored and the object stays near enough to the earth's surface so that the gravitational field is constant.

Acceleration due to gravity (g)=9.8m/s2
