Respiratory disorder:

  1. The disorders that affect any part of the respiratory system are called respiratory disorders (respiratory diseases).
  2. The common respiratory disorders include asthma, tuberculosis, bronchitis etc.

Asthma:
Causative agents: Asthma is considered as an allergic reaction caused by pollens, dust or certain foods.
Symptoms: Its symptoms include difficulty in breathing and wheezing.

Tuberculosis:
Tuberculosis is an air-borne disease which affects lungs.
Causative agent: Tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Symptoms: The symptoms of tuberculosis include loss of weight, loss of appetite, coughing up mucus and sometimes blood and pain in lungs.

Bronchitis:
Causative agent: Bronchitis is the infection of the air passage inside the lungs and it is caused by a virus.
Symptoms: Symptoms include Wheezing, shortness of breath and coughing up of mucus.
