Advantage:
The ozone gas forms a layer in the stratosphere. This layer protects the earth from the harmful UV radiation of the sun.

Disadvantage:
In the troposphere, the ozone gas is highly toxic and can cause acute inflammation, haemorrhage and oedema of the respiratory tract, which can be fatal.
