Zinc sulphide and dilute Sulphuric acid

Open in App
Solution

Part 1:- reaction of Zinc sulphide and dilute Sulphuric acid:-

  1. When Zinc sulphide is reacted with dil. Sulphuric acid, Zinc sulphate and Hydrogen sulphide are formed as the product.
  2. Hydrogen sulphide is the gas evolved here.
  3. Balanced chemical equation ZnS(s)(Zincsulphide)+H2SO4(aq)(Dil.Sulphuricacid)ZnSO4(aq)(Zincsulphate)+H2Sg(Hydrogensulphide)

Therefore, the balanced chemical equation is ZnS(s)(Zincsulphide)+H2SO4(aq)(Dil.Sulphuricacid)ZnSO4(aq)(Zincsulphate)+H2Sg(Hydrogensulphide)
