Solution
Veins:
Veins are the blood vessels that carry deoxygenated blood (except pulmonary vein) from various organs (except lungs) to the right atrium of the heart.
The portal veins are those that collect blood from one set of capillaries from an organ and deliver it to another set of capillaries of another organ.
Intestine to the liver:
The vein that drains the blood from the intestine to the liver is the hepatic portal vein.
To the left atrium:
The left atrium receives highly oxygenated blood from the lungs through a vein called the pulmonary vein.
