(a) Structure that carries visual stimuli from retina to the brain.

Optic nerves:

  1. These are nerves of the eye which bundle together and leave the eyeball to the brain.
  2. At the blind spot nerve fibers of the retina join together to form the optic nerve.
  3. Then they emerge out of the eyeball and lead to the optic center.
  4. The optic center is present on each side of the brain.
