Characteristics of packaging tissue:
Packaging tissues are also called areolar tissue.
These tissues are widely distributed connective tissue in the body with jelly-like sticky matrix irregular shaped cells.
These cells have two kinds of fibres white fibres which are made up of collagen and yellow fibres which are made up of elastin. Functions of packaging tissues:
They have the function of connectivity.
It fixes the skin with muscles.
Fills the spaces inside the organs and attaches the blood vessels and nerves to the surrounding tissues
