Characteristics of packaging tissue:

• Packaging tissues are also called areolar tissue.
• These tissues are widely distributed connective tissue in the body with jelly-like sticky matrix irregular shaped cells.
• These cells have two kinds of fibres white fibres which are made up of collagen and yellow fibres which are made up of elastin. Functions of packaging tissues:
• They have the function of connectivity.
• It fixes the skin with muscles.
• Fills the spaces inside the organs and attaches the blood vessels and nerves to the surrounding tissues
