Open in App
Solution

  • Air is a homogenous mixture of gases containing nitrogen (78%), oxygen (21%) and small traces of other gases like carbon dioxide, argon, neon, hydrogen, methane etc.
  • Heteroatomic molecules are those which are made up of more than one kind of atoms example; CO2 (carbon dioxide).
  • In air, carbon dioxide exists as CO2 molecule and methane exists as CH4 molecule. Both being heteroatomic are the clear examples of heteroatomic molecules in air.
