The Constitution of India originally stated that the Supreme Court of India would be composed of the Chief Justice and seven other judges. The number of judges changed to 10 in 1956, 17 in 1977 and 25 in 1985. Currently, there are 30 other Judges in Supreme Court besides Chief Justice of The Supreme Court.
