1. An atom at the body centre is surrounded by 8 atoms. Thus, the coordination number is 8.

2. An atom at corner in simple cubic is surrounded by 6 atoms. Coordination number is 6.

3. Atom at the corner of bcc has coordination number 8.

4. Atom in fcc has coordination number 12 in all the cases.

5. In tetrahedral void coordination number is 4 and in octahedral void it is 8.
